Scholarship Description

The company has a number of power plants, including the Koeberg nuclear power station and Kendal power station. The latter is the largest coal-powered electricity generation plant in Africa and the 22nd largest in the world. Eskom is also a publicly-traded company and listed in JSE as BIESKM. Our ever-expanding industrial, commercial, and mining activities as well as the increased demand on the existing infrastructure have already created an insatiable need for competent people, particularly in the fields of engineering, research, development, design, construction and production functions.

Eskom Scholarship 2022

Eskom is offering bursaries to a certain number of students every year in the field of engineering. This is to encourage more students to take up the engineering streams and realise their full potential. Besides that, the bursary programme is also an attempt to improve the South African labor market. The sector is evergreen, bright, and growing. More skilled professionals would be needed in the future.

Successfull candidates must be doing the following fields. 

Accounting,Environment, computer science, information technology, Chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, Diesel Mechanical, Fitter and tunning, industrial engineering, boiler maker and etc

Who Can Apply

Only students who are willing to do the above fields and also offered exclusively to Eskom employees children/dependence based on the following: Academically deserving students Years of service by employee (minimum of 5 years in service)

Which Countries can Apply?

South Africa and foreigners can apply (passport is required) 

Registration and tuition fees, residence or accommodation fees, meals, book allowance
