We are urgently looking for a shuttle driver with their own sedan vehicle ,who can transport a student from their home to school.

Must reside in Endenvale Dowerglen)

 CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years Driving Experience

• Valid code 10 License

• PDP will be an added advantage

• No criminal record

• Grade 12/Matric / (NQF level 4)

• First Aid training is preferred

 NATURE AND SCOPE:

• Shuttle drivers are responsible for safely transporting clients and providing superior service. 

• Drivers must have good communication skills both oral and written to in interact with fellow operational team as well as public they serve. 

• Commitment, patience, maturity, and initiative are required qualities.

 JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Transporting a client from Dowerglen (Edenvaleiew) to Muriel Brand School and collecting them once the school is out 

(Scheduled time to be discussed).

• Arriving at collection point prior to departure time.

• Reviewing the traffic updates before the journey.

• 2 months contract subjected to renewal.

• Always Adhering to the road and safety rules.

• Manage passenger behavior by quickly and effectively solving problems.

• Ensure compliance with the “Hours of Service” requirements.

• Pre and post trips check of the unit each time it is used (emphasis on ensuring adequate fluid level).

• Communicate with dispatch at your scheduled time, prepared and ready to go.

• Report unsafe conditions and injuries.

• Care of vehicle and proper maintenance reporting.

• Drive safely, responsibly and be prepared for all road conditions.

• Able to load and drive.

SAFETY EXPACTATIONS:

• Follow OH&S regulations regarding reporting of unsafe conditions.

• Correct unsafe conditions.

• Make safety suggestions

• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

• Make sure you are well rested.

• Drivers must carry their driver’s license with them when on duty.

• If the license becomes lost, stolen or destroyed, operations must be notified immediately.

• A duplicate must be obtained before the driver may continue driving.

 WORKING CONDITIONS: 

• Drivers must be able to drive applicable shifts in accordance with contractual customer obligations while adhering hours of services and applicable labor laws.

• Drivers must be well groomed and appropriately attired for the season.

• Must be willing to drive in all kinds of weather, lights, road, and traffic conditions.
