POSITION: HANDYMAN (ELECTRICAL)

LOCATION: HERCULES

REPORTS TO: FOREMAN

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1

DATE OF VACANCY: IMMEDIATE

APPLICANTS SHOULD HAVE: 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

 Matric/Grade 12/N3

 Valid driver’s license

MINIMUM REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

 3 Years in heavy industry

REQUIRED OTHER/BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

 Trustworthiness 

 Ability to handle stress and meet deadlines 

 Willingness to attend to call-outs and/or work over time 

 Demonstrate willingness to learn and grow in the job 

 Creating, promoting and maintaining a safe work environment

 Strong inclination to technical, root cause identification and problem solving skills

 Pro-active, self-disciplined and solution driven

 Ability to adapt to harsh working environments

 Be highly organised

DELIVERABLES

 To maintain high levels of availability, reliability and serviceability of plant, equipment and tools through strict application of company maintenance practices, principles and procedures:

 Achieve acceptable service quality

 Comply with all approved business processes and Engineering Standards

 Comply with all relevant legislative standards

 Optimise asset performance (ability of plant and equipment to produce at capacity)

 Optimise assess usage (availability & reliability)

Employment Equity and Succession Policies.

 Compliance to relevant legal requirements and safe operation of plant, equipment and tools.

 To ensure high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers:

 Satisfy customer needs

 No valid customer complaints

 Application of company best practices

 Embrace Jabali principles

 Lubricating all equipment.
