VACANCY: GENERAL WORKER – STOLZNEK RANGER

PATERSON GRADING: A1

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

CLOSING DATE: 16 AUGUST 2022

We are looking for a suitably qualified person to fill the above-mentioned vacant position in the Kruger National Park at Stolznek Ranger Services. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Key Performance Areas

 Perform cleaning duties including ablution block, communal areas and surrounding areas to prescribed set standards.

 Maintenance of ranger’s garden, living quarter’s area, living quarters and vegetable garden.

 Control inventory items, conduct stock takes.

 Reporting abnormalities including equipment and maintenance faults.

 Assist with the collection of supplies when necessary.

 Assist with general work in the Section, including erosion control, firebreaks 

and road maintenance bush clearing, refuse removal.

 Assisting with other ad hoc tasks as required by Supervisor / Management.

Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities that are required for the job:

 Grade 10.

 Grade 12 will added as an advantage.

 Driver licence Code 8/10

 Physical good health.

 Good knowledge of tools, handling and aftercare.

 Ability to assist with the maintenance of the ranger post.

 Basic knowledge of OHS.

 Knowledge of working in the national park.
