Job Description

• Contribute to a culture of zero hurt by adhering to all or any needs as arranged down by legislation and health, safety, environmental and security policies and procedures, and by the applying of specific instructions to have work space and task completion.

• Take over/ fork up shift from off/on-going oilrig operator, attend to any abnormalities initial, and then report to the supervisor to receive more directions.

• Conduct economical housework of apparatus and work space in accordance with division requirements.

• Perform all activities consistent with directions, procedures and mining wants. 

• Participate in price saving initiatives and cling to money procedures.

Qualifications

Formal qualifications:

• Grade twelve / N3 / Equivalent NQF Level four qualification

• MQA Competent B certificate for underground

• Long Hole oilrig Certificate 

• associate underground metalliferous blasting certificate /MQA Rock Breaking Certificate are going to be advantageous. 

Additional requirements:

• Code B or higher Driver’s License

• needed classification as per VTS testing for specific role (Orange)

• Medical Certificate of Fitness to figure underground

Role-specific knowledge:
