 CONSTRUCTION PLANNER (INTERNAL)

Booysendal Platinum is situated on the border of the Limpopo and Mpumalanga Provinces near the towns of Mashishing (Lydenburg), Roossenekal and Steelpoort. The mine is located on the southernmost exposure of the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex with eighty percent of its resources in the Mpumalanga Province. The Mine has a board and pillar mining layout and operates with trackless mechanised mining equipment. Booysendal is a subsidiary of the JSE-listed Northam Platinum Limited, a well-established, mid-tier independent and integrated platinum group metals producer with a strong tradition of innovation and technical expertise in the sector

ROLE REQUIREMENTS 

The successful candidates must have the following basic requirements:

- Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4

- Certificate in Project Management at NQF level 4

- Section 13/26D Trade Certificate (advantageous)

- Medical Certificate of Fitness 

- Advanced Computer Literacy (MS Office Package)

- Minimum 3 years experience in a Construction Environment within a trackless mining environment

- Working knowledge of different disciplines eg Engineering and Mining will be advantageous 

- Thorough understanding of operational processes and impact of Engineering Construction on production

- Solid understanding of mine survey drawings

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

- Facilitation of all Construction Strategies 

- Managing resources,time schedules and costs 

- Monitor delays and implement strategies to minimise or eliminate delays 

- Analyse team performance 

- Facilitation and management of all plans and scheduling activities 

- Management of information with regard to projects scheduled 

- Ensure all equipment and material is to specification and available 

- Reporting to budgets and forecast on expenditure 

- Support housekeeping programs within the Engineering Construction department
