PURPOSE AND ROLE IN THE BUSINESS

To ensure the end-to-end delivery and execution of the Organisational Effectiveness strategy, in alignment to the business strategy, including preparing the organisation for future readiness. The role develops and sustains organizational effectiveness practices of different forms including organisational design, organisational culture, transformation, change management, employee engagement, performance management optimisation, team effectiveness, to enable and sustain business objectives.

KEY RESULT AREAS

• Develop an Organisational Development (OE) strategy for Venetia, including guidelines on how OE related initiatives will be implemented.

• Manage and facilitate organisational design processes, to ensure that Venetia is structured and capacitated to deliver on its business strategy.

• Set up and oversee processes and systems to:

o Attract a sustainable pool of talent for current objectives and future organisation needs, incl psychometric testing.

o Enhance the development, motivation and retention of talent.

o Link high potential employees with key future roles in the organisation.

• Prioritise, develop and execute strategic projects within the HR department and HR-led projects in other departments.

• Manage related OE programmes and initiatives that enable to achievement of Building Forever goals as set out for Venetia.

• Manage the setting of Employment Equity targets and related tracking/reporting

• Lead change management planning and implementation, on strategic change initiatives, in an integrated manner 

• Align learning and development plans to organisational strategy.

• Facilitate, with leadership teams, the creation of a high-performance, inclusive and diverse organisation culture driving sustainable performance.

• Focus on continuous improvement initiatives, utilising action research methodology where relevant.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (Education & Experience)

• Grade 12 

• Relevant Degree in the field of HR Development or Industrial Psychology

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience in HR field, with specific focus on Organisational Development 

• Minimum 3 years’ exposure to mining industry or industry of similar complexity 

• Registration with the HPCSA as a Psychometrist will be an added advantage 

• Proven experience in the development and execution of strategic projects within HR and broader organizational culture interventions.

• Valid Code 08 (EB Driver’s License).

• Successfully obtain a Red Ticket (Medical Fitness certificate) on mine.
