APPRENTICES x 6 - ELECTRICAL
The abovementioned vacancies exist in Bevcan Springs. The positions report to the Plant Trainer.
Key responsibilities include:
Completion of all required theoretical modules for the trade
Undergoing intensive on-the-job training and other related training
Providing support to the production process with adequate levels of availability and reliability
Demonstrating the ability to practically conduct maintenance and installations
Acquiring problems solving and trouble shooting skills
Adhering to plant rules and regulations
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Minimum N3 electrical engineering, with Mathematics & Physical Science.
A good electrical understanding at a basic level
Must be able to identify colours
Basic computer skills
Good interpersonal & communication skills, positive attitude, able to use own initiative, team oriented, systematic and well organized
Ability to work overtime and shifts when required
- English language proficiency
• Drivers license code B, EB or C1
• Medium Voltage Competency skills (certificate)
• Medical Certificate of Fitness
• Comfortable working in confined spaces
• Not colour blind
• No major sensory restrictions
• Must be familiar with risk assessment procedures
Key performance areas
• Electrical equipment maintenance and installation
• Supports achievement of production performance levels
• Ensure that safety regulations are adhered to
Important to note
• Work standby, overtime and shifts
• Own transport
